The research on incubating goose eggs is mainly French where it's been found that results improve when the eggs are incubated lying down. The slots in our goose trays are oblong. In the single width machines up to 5TTH, the egg is placed pointy-egg down and is rocked through the long axis, then as the machine completes a turn, the egg over-rotates and ends up lying near-horizontal. In our double width machines from 6TTH up, the trays are put in lengthways, so the egg is placed lying down and the egg is rolled through the short axis.
