The original filter bodies were re-purposed inexpensive plumbing consumable items.
Greatlander now makes them in a thicker plastic so they are more durable.

In addition, the cloth filter inserts are now discontinued, leaving the fine metal mesh as the filter. Feather fluff is electrically charged and sticks readily to the metal and to itself.

Back-pressure builds up in the hatching chamber with the filters fitted and especially when they become blocked with fluff. Crack open the vent in the hatching chamber enough to promote a good airflow over the bottom water tray
