Cooling — A Feature Unique to Top Hatch

As embryos develop, the eggs increasingly produce their own metabolic heat. In a cabinet full of developing eggs, there comes a point where the incubator must not only provide heat — it must also be able to remove excess heat.

Greatlander Top Hatch incubators do this automatically using a negative feedback cooling system. It becomes particularly valuable on challenging days when ambient temperatures climb above 35°C, while the developing eggs themselves are also producing metabolic heat.

When the temperature rises above the set point, warm humid air is exhausted. The resulting fall in humidity activates the humidification system, introducing a fine mist whose evaporation absorbs heat from the incoming air. Temperature and humidity return to their set points and the system becomes stable again.
