Testing and Calibration

Every Greatlander incubator is checked and calibrated before it leaves our workshop.

Temperature calibration, controller operation, alarms, fans, lighting and egg-turning systems are checked as applicable to the particular machine. The electrical operation of humidity and cooling systems is also tested.

We do not operate new incubators with water during final testing.

This allows us to certify, where required for universities, research organisations and export customers, that the equipment has not been exposed to organic material or tested with water. The same workshop practice is applied to new machines generally.

Each Greatlander incubator is assigned its own barcode number. Its settings, calibration values and works check sheet are recorded and permanently retained in our workshop records.

These records allow us to identify the original configuration of an individual machine many years later.
